During an NSC gym induction you will be greeted by a level 2 qualified fitness instructor who will show you the facilities and inform you on a range of both practical and site specific knowledge.
When are the NSC Gym Inductions?

What do I need to bring with me?
When you come to the NSC, it might help to be prepared with the below:
- Water Bottle – Water bottle should be the first thing you pack in your gym bag, keeping hydrated when doing any form of exercise is essential.
- Active Wear – When thinking what to wear to a gym induction, try loose fitting clothes, preferably cotton, that allows your skin to breathe and is comfortable. You are allowed to use the facilities including the gym, spa and pool after your induction so you may wish to bring swimwear and a towel.
- Questions – This is your time to ask questions to qualified fitness professional, so feel free to pre-empt some prior to attending your gym induction.
How much is the induction?
The cost of an induction is £5.00. Your induction includes an NSC Day Pass which enables you to use of the facilities for the day. If you would like to take full advantage of this, please wear the appropriate clothing and bring swimwear to use the pool and spa.
Does everyone need an induction?
Yes, even if you have been a member at another gym there is information specific to the NSC we need to inform you about.
It is a legal requirement of gyms for all members to have completed a pre-exercise questionnaire before commencing exercise. This is like a mini disclaimer form where you declare your medical history, during your induction you'll be asked to fill this out, however if you wish to review this or fill it out it can be downloaded here.
