About the Role
The National Sports Centre (NSC) are looking to employee enthusiastic, friendly and motivated Receptionists to work in our multi-sports facility to cover busy periods, holidays and sickness absence of contracted receptionists. The purpose of the post is to be the initial point of contact with the public and deal with their enquiries and requests giving utmost regard to every aspect of customer care.
You will be working front of house as the visible face of the centre, so we are looking for outgoing and friendly individuals who will assist with all of our customer’s needs and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to our new and existing customers. The role is busy and varied, you will ideally have experience of reception work and dealing with the public, cash handling and working with computers. You will need to be passionate about providing an excellent service and have the ability to promote the products, services and facilities on offer. You will be responsible for dealing with all types of admissions, operating the till system, processing applications and memberships.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have a good telephone manner with excellent communication skills
- Have good customer service skills
- Are self motivated and have a positive attitude
- Are able to work as part of a team and independently
- Are able to remain calm under pressure and able to multi-task where necessary
Please note you will be required to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Please note a basic police check is required for this post, which the Department will cover the cost of for you.
A uniform will be provided to the successful candidates.
